Starting the construction of your new home is one of the most exciting milestones in the building process. At Bercher Homes, we want you to feel confident and informed every step of the way—especially in the early stages when the biggest transformations are taking place.

Here’s a look at what typically happens in the first 90 days after we break ground.

Preparing the Site

The process begins with preparing your homesite for construction. This includes clearing the lot, grading for proper drainage, and setting the foundation footprint. Our team works with precision to make sure the groundwork is strong, level, and ready for what’s to come.

Laying the Foundation

Once the site is prepared, we move into one of the most critical steps—pouring the foundation. Whether your home has a slab, crawl space, or basement, our crews ensure it meets exact specifications for strength and stability. This stage sets the stage—literally—for the entire home.

Framing Takes Shape

Framing is when your home truly begins to look like a home. Walls, floors, and roof structures go up, giving you the first real sense of your home’s size and layout. Openings for windows and doors are installed during this time, and you’ll start to see the vision you’ve been planning come to life.

Systems Go In

Once framing is complete, our trade partners install the essential systems—plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. This is also when we double-check for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all building codes.

Staying Connected Throughout the Process

During these first 90 days, our team keeps you updated on progress and next steps. We welcome questions, provide regular communication, and ensure you feel involved from start to finish.

At Bercher Homes, the first three months of construction are about more than just bricks and boards—they’re about laying the foundation for your future. By the time you reach day 90, your home will be well on its way from blueprint to reality.
